A Stacked Lineup Lights Up the Hi-Fi!

The HiFi was buzzing on July 19th as Musical Family Tree (MFT) hosted its first showcase of 2025, featuring a stacked lineup: Conor McLaren, Uvula, and United State Three. With a crowd that included longtime fans of these talented artists, local music lovers, and out-of-towners visiting Indy for the WNBA All-Star weekend, the venue was packed, and the energy was electric.

As an MFT board member, I had the pleasure of watching it all unfold from the merch table. From that perch, I saw fans connecting deeply—swaying and singing along to Conor McLaren’s melodies, vibing with Uvula’s grooves, and dancing full-force to United State Three’s high-octane set. Between sets, fans stopped by to chat about the artists, ask about MFT, and pick up some merch. For some, this show was the reason they came to Indy. Others had discovered these acts online – from the MFT Archive or otherwise – and came to see what the hype was about. And many simply trusted that an MFT-presented show would deliver the goods—and it did.
